Quantum

Uncover the hidden aspects of our world.

Quantum began with Collide International, the flagship programme of Arts at CERN in collaboration with FACT (Liverpool, UK). Between 2015-2018, a group of artists were invited to reside at CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research, Geneva) to advance their artistic practice by establishing a dialogue with engineers and particle physicists. The project brings together the ten works produced by this exchange.

Since premiering at FACT (Liverpool, UK) in 2018 as Broken Symmetries, the exhibition has toured to CCCB (Barcelona, Spain) as Quantum and will next be seen at iMAL (Brussels, Belgium), National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (Taiwan), Le Lieu Unique (Nantes, Frances) and Kumu (Tallinn, Estonia).

The Living_Archive

The Living_Archive is an experimental project inspired partly by ‘A machine for generating futures’ (Zielinski, 2013), the focus of which is not just the documentation of artworks and curatorial visions, but to capture the process and experience of art-science collaboration and - through the sharing of this - to generate new processes and experiences.

The Living_Archive creates an explorable semantic network of concepts, giving visibility to cultural and scientific connections that otherwise may go unnoticed.
